Monday Made It ~ Organizing the House

Hello, Friends!
Summer has begun and it is time to link up with Tara from
Today I am blogging about two "around the house" Monday Made It projects!

Recently, my friend and TPT partner Alison bought a new house.
She has been working very hard on organization and I am going to reveal some of her organization.  I am also going to add some of mine because she has inspired me to organize my life!

Here is Alison's new home:
 It is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Here are some of the areas she has organized!
Kitchen:
She uses lots of the different organizing tools you can find at Walmart to maximize your space. She used the drawer sorters to keep everything in it's own space instead of just throwing it in.

I even see extra space in the picture to the far left!

Pantry:
I love the stair step shelves that help you see the items in the back that could get missed without them. I also like the way she turned one sideways to stack on top and under it!

Closet:
SO much space!!!

"Junk" Drawers:
Again, great use of the drawer organizers!

So ... Alison inspired me to tackle an area in my house.
I chose my laundry room.

Here is my Monday Made It!

I love this organizer & I made some cute labels to go with it.  Let's see if the family can keep everything sorted ...

These sit on top of my cabinets in the "wasted space" for things I do not use very often. I love the black baskets.  I wish I could get some more but the dollar store I found them in has not had them in months.

This jar had pickles in it before I scraped the labels and painted the lid.  I like the way it looks on my shelf.

I had an old baby wipe container just sitting around and I turned it into the home of my dryer sheets.  I like that I can see through the container and I know when I am almost out.  I also think it makes them last longer than the cardboard box they came in.

So there you have it ... our Monday Made It!  We both organize in different ways (mine takes longer) but our spaces are looking better everyday.
What are you up to?
Karen

  4. Your labels are fantastic! I love the design, and I'm sure they add a little pop to your laundry room.
