Happy Monday, Friend!
Today, I have three fun projects to share ...
Thank you, Tara!
I LOVE your Monday Made It!
I have seen several people making these adorable pencil shoes around social media.
Here is a link to the pin that first inspired me.
I knew I had to have them but I wanted slip-on tennis shoes!
I traveled to Walmart and found a pair of shoes for $5.87 and I spent another $3.00 on acrylic paints.
When I got home I played with what I wanted them to look like.
Then, I went to town painting them.
After a watching few shows on Netflix ... TADA!
I can't wait to wear them next school year!
I love working on a variety of school activities and one of them is Box Tops. I have made collection containers in the past and our school theme for next year is "Sports!" I knew we needed something fresh.
So I sadly said "Goodbye" to my Box Top Robot.
Here is our new school wide collection container:
The basket ball hoop is toddler size that I found in the trash. I spray painted the pole and backdrop in school colors. The extended "net" is a pop-up laundry hamper from Walmart.
Even our smallest students can "Slam Dunk" their Box Tops! I can't wait to get this year rolling!
Thank you, Tara!

Creating custom orders for other teachers is one of our favorite things to do! Alison has been working really hard to complete an order for a close friend.
Our new line is Teal with Chalkboard! I LOVE it!
My contribution is putting our friend's "Classroom Helpers" chart together for her.
Here is how I put it together:
Here is how I put it together:
I used:
*Our helper pack (link below)
*Hot glue
*Teal Ribbon
*Velcro dots
*Clothespins
How I made it:
1. First I printed the entire pack.
2. Laminate & cut out the pack. (I always cut out first and then laminate and cut again just to make sure they seal well)
3. Lay out the cards to make sure the length is the right size for the cards you want to use.
4. Space your cards out on the ribbon.
5. Add the Velcro dots or hot glue them. I used Velcro so she could change her jobs at any time!
6. Hot glue to the sign.
7. Add ribbon for a hanger is desired.
8. Create the name clips by hot gluing them to the clothes pins. (I would print two sets and put a name on both sides. That way they are not up-side-down when you move their name to the other side.)
9 ENJOY for years to come! (or until you change your theme)
You can also place them in a pocket chart!
I find this is a fast and easy way to go. All you have to do is change the name cards as you get new kiddos! Easy Peasy!
You can find this set here:

ReplyDeleteThanks, Tara! You are so supportive & I love that! It inspires me to do more! Have a very HAPPY 4th of July!
DeleteLook at those cute shoes! You are very creative, my sister wanted to buy me something similar but I would not let her, I was scared they wouldn't be comfortable enough.
ReplyDeleteI had to try the shoes on and make sure I could wear them before I painted them. I do not wear tennis shoes much and they had to be comfortable. Find a brand she loves and paint them for her. It was easy! You can always email me for tips. Thanks for stopping by! Have a very HAPPY 4th of July!
DeleteLove the shoes! Your box top "containers" are adorable!!! We love to compete in our classroom box top contest at our school. Hmmmm...I think I need one of these instead of my boring bucket!
ReplyDeleteStephanie,
DeleteThanks! Box Tops is something I am in charge of at school and I am always looking for ways to boost the project! I can't wait to see what you make to collect in. Please tag me if you post it! Have a very HAPPY 4th of July!
The kids are going to LOVE the box top hoop! What a great motivator to save them!
