My
favorite Thanksgiving tradition is spending the day with my family, eating,
watching a little TV, and something my dad cooked up … The Thanksgiving Turkey! The Thanksgiving Turkey comes down the
chimney, lights a candle, leaves a feather, and a gift for the children on
the fireplace hearth every Thanksgiving. Does anyone else do this?

So …

ReplyDeleteYour tradition is so cute! Almost like the turkey is passing the holiday on to Santa. XD
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I like it, too. I wish we had it when we were little kiddos. Maybe it will catch on!
DeleteWhat a great tradition your dad started. I never heard of it before but I do think it is adorable. I'm sure the kids are excited to see the feather and, of course, the gifts. I agree with Chandra--first the turkey makes his appearance and then Santa is on his way! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your positive words! My dad is the BEST! I love his ideas and sense of humor. I am so THANKFUL for him!
DeleteWhat a cute tradition from your dad! Grandpas are the greatest. Love those turkey place card holders! So fun. :-)

Thanks so much, Nichole! I will post a pic if I make the place card holders ... might be a Pinterest fail. LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteSounds like fun having a chimney Turkey leave gifts too. What a great tradition! I'm going to have to check out the recipe for those delicious looking mini-pumpkin pies.
